First Day School

The South Berkshire Friends First Day School is held from 10:40AM to 11:30 AM every Sunday (First Day).

Children are encouraged to attend Meeting for Worship with their families for the first 10-15 minutes, with the understanding that silence is a learned skill and may take different forms. As a community, we welcome children to join us in worship and are warmed by their presence and offerings. At the signal of their teachers, children leave meeting and go to participate in our First Day School Programs. Currently there are two levels of First Day School; children 11 and younger and teens 12 and older. During the summer the younger group meets on an as-needed basis. The older group meets every third and fourth Sunday of the month.

The Education Committee of South Berkshire Friends Meeting has oversight of the First Day School Program.
